Privacy Policy
In order to fulfills its social responsibilities as a company and live up to the trust placed in it by customers, Sanwa Kagaku Kenkyusho Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, the "Company") has established a basic policy on protecting the personal information possessed by the Company.
1. Acquiring Personal Information
The Company shall acquire personal information only through legitimate and appropriate means.
2. Publicizing the Purposes for using Personal Information
The Company shall, as a rule, inform customers of the purpose for using personal information whenever it acquires such information.
3. Using personal information
The Company shall use personal information only within the scope needed for achieving the purpose of use that the customer was informed of. Furthermore, personal information shall not be provided to any third party without the prior consent of the customer.
4. Shared use of Personal Information
When making shared use of personal information with a third party, the Company shall inform the customer in advance.
5. Protecting Personal Information
The Company shall endeavor to keep personal information accurate and up-to-date, within the scope needed for achieving the purpose of use. Furthermore, the Company shall enact appropriate security measures in order to prevent the leakage, loss, or misuse of personal information.
6. Supervision of Employees and Contractors
The Company shall perform whatever supervision of employees is necessary and appropriate in order to ensure the security of personal information. If the Company contracts out the handling of personal information to a third party, then the Company shall also perform whatever supervision of that third-party contractor is necessary and appropriate in order ensure the security of personal information.
7. Disclosing Personal Information
If the Company is asked to disclose the purpose of use of personal information or to release, correct, stop using, or stop providing personal information in the possession of the Company by the person to whom that information belongs, then the Company shall promptly comply with that request in accordance with the provisions of the law.
8. Complaint Support Center
The Company shall provide a dedicated support center for handling customer complaints in order to deal with complaints related to the handling of personal information.
9. Personal Information Security Organization
The Company shall establish an information management committee, and shall appoint a personal information security administrator as well as a personal information security supervisor to serve as committee chairperson.
10. Establishing Personal Information Security Regulations
The Company shall establish personal information security regulations for the purpose of implementing this privacy policy. The Company shall disseminate knowledge of this privacy policy and the personal information security regulations among all executives and employees, shall monitor compliance, and shall implement any improvements needed.

The Company shall conduct education and training related to this privacy policy and the personal information security regulations for all company executives and employees to ensure proper management of personal information.

- Communication and provision of information with labor organizations, welfare benefit societies, the Suzuken health insurance society, the Suzuken corporate pension fund, defined contribution pension plans, the Suzuken employee stock ownership plan, and other related companies

(8) The Company may share personal information in its possession with the Company's clients and other group companies in order to achieve the purposes of use described above. However, individuals may apply to stop their information from being shared further with third parties.
3. Shared use of personal information
The Company stores personal information for the following shared uses. For its basic database usage, the Company uses a medical database (MDB) managed and operated by Nihon Ultmarc Inc., and it makes shared use of that database with other pharmaceutical manufacturers, medical product wholesalers, medical equipment manufacturers, and other medical companies (member companies). These member companies, including the Company, share updated maintenance information (new data, data changes, and data deletions) with Nihon Ultmarc Inc. for the purposes of keeping the database up to date in a joint effort to ensure its accuracy.

5. How to file complaints and request disclosure
You can file a privacy-related complaint or request disclosure by telephone or email (via our contact form). After receiving your request, the Company will promptly respond by telephone or other means and explain what paperwork is needed to file the request. In order to make the request, you will need to postage stamps equivalent to ¥800 in postage fees (¥80 for first-class mail, ¥420 for registered mail, and ¥300 for acknowledgement of delivery).

6. Other
The Company is eligible under the Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers' Associations of Japan (FPMAJ) as an authorized organization that handles personal information, having been authorized by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare. This organization handles complaints and inquiries related to the handling of personal information by eligible companies.
