The basic philosophy of Sanwa Kagaku Kenkyusho is to contribute to the realization of a sustainable and harmonious society by earning the trust and meeting the expectations of local communities and all stakeholders through our business activities, which encompass R&D, production, and sales of pharmaceuticals and diagnostic drugs.

Social Contribution Activities

Support for Animal Welfare Research Activities

We support the research activities being conducted at the Kumamoto Sanctuary, Wildlife Research Center, Kyoto University on animal welfare for endangered species such as chimpanzees and bonobos.

Installation of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)

To establish a system that enables a rapid response in emergencies, we have installed Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) at our headquarters, as well as at the Mie Research Park and Kumamoto Factory.

Conducting first aid and CPR training sessions.

We regularly invite external instructors to conduct training sessions for our employees to ensure they acquire practical skills and knowledge. This includes basic life-saving training on how to operate an AED.

Installation of donation vending machines

In order to create a society where visually impaired individuals can live more safely, we have installed "guide dog training donation vending machines" to make it easy for anyone to participate in social contribution activities.
A portion of the proceeds from each purchase is saved as a donation and is allocated through a reputable organization to support the training and development of guide dogs, as well as other related activities.

Participation in volunteer activities hosted by the NPO

"We want to beautify the city where we live and work." Driven by this desire, employees from our company are participating in volunteer cleaning activities organized by a nonprofit organization.
Through this activity, awareness of environmental beautification has increased, fostering a sense of solidarity among participating members and strengthening ties with the local community.
This initiative is still a small seed, but we will expand its reach nationwide and promote the realization of a beautiful society.

Efforts to prevent traffic accidents

All company vehicles are equipped with drive recorders to visualize and verify traffic accidents and near-miss incidents. This is helping to prevent traffic accidents, to enhance awareness of safe driving and promote eco-friendly driving practices. Through these initiatives, we strive to contribute to a safer, more secure, and environmentally friendly transportation society.

As part of disease awareness activities, we provide information on our website for patients and their families.
This includes not only useful information for early detection and prevention of diseases, but also resources that give emotional reassurance to patients and their families, fulfilling our mission of promoting sustainable health in the community.

Diabetes Collaboration Notebook、Diabetes Eye Notebook

We provide the "Diabetes Collaboration Notebook" and the "Diabetes Eye Notebook" in collaboration with the Japan Diabetes Society and the Japan Society of Diabetic Ophthalmology.
We not only help patients with self-management and the sharing of information between patients and healthcare professionals, but we also fulfill our corporate mission through sustained advocacy activities.
